Penalties for late submission

We all know that sometimes things don’t go to plan. If you need more time to submit your assessment, make sure you apply for an extension before the due date.

Submitting your assessment after the due date without an approved extension means a late penalty will apply. We’ll deduct 5% of the total marks available for each day your assessment is late, including weekends and public holidays. If your assessment is more than seven days late, we won’t be able to mark it and you’ll receive a mark of zero. Your course coordinator will decide if you receive feedback.

Reasonable adjustments

If you have a disability, medical or mental health condition, you can apply for reasonable adjustments to help you sit your exams. Our Accessibility Services team will work with you to understand your needs and arrange suitable alternative exam arrangements. Get in touch as early as possible.
