According to the Good Universities Guide Ratings 2026, 92% of Federation University postgrad graduates were employed full-time within four months of completing their course.

FAQs
Because we're a dual-sector institution, we're able to offer pathways from Certificate II level right through to PhD. This means students don't have to move to a different institution to continue their studies, providing stability and a sense of belonging. We also have alternative options available for those who don't meet the entry requirements of their chosen course.
Ongoing academic staff need to complete the Graduate Certificate in Education (Tertiary Education) and undertake research supervision training. Our TAFE teachers must be working in their field of expertise and hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification.
We offer a range of professional development programs (such as GenAI, technology use in teaching, academic integrity and regulatory requirements) to ensure our teaching staff stay informed about the latest techniques and model lifelong learning.
We support our students and staff to think critically and act responsibly and equitably in a world where AI technologies are increasingly embedded in decision-making, communication and knowledge production. We're developing resources to help our teachers and students use AI while protecting academic integrity and encouraging human judgement, creativity and relationality in an increasingly automated world.
Co-operative education (Co-op) at Federation University is about collaborating with industry to shape what is taught, how it's taught and how it’s assessed. It also gives students the opportunity to complete paid work placements, cadetships or research internships that count toward their course credits.
We foster a student-centred approach to education by collaborating with our learners as much as possible. Their feedback, perspectives and ideas inform ongoing improvements and innovation in teaching and learning. We also encourage student committees to influence decision-making and lead innovative projects.
