It’s our chance to recognise and thank the people who make a positive difference to campus life.
All University staff and students are invited to submit nominations. There are seven award categories and each has specific eligibility criteria. Do you know someone who has done something really special at Federation this year? (Or maybe you have – yes, you can nominate yourself.) Winners receive a certificate and an invitation to the award ceremony, usually held in November each year.

2025 FedAwards winners
Emily, a proud Wiradjuri woman and Psychology student, showed great leadership and cultural pride this year. She supported her peers through sport and mentoring, and took part in wellbeing programs at the Aboriginal Education Centre. Her dedication made a big difference to student support and community engagement.
Vashista made a big difference by mentoring and supporting new students. He guided international students through enrolment and campus life, helped lead Orientation and FedReady workshops, and created welcoming spaces both on campus and online. Known for his patience and clear communication, he built a strong sense of community.
Led by seven dedicated students, the Physiotherapy Student Society’s Big Freeze fundraiser raised $3,000 for MND research. The event brought the campus together and built community through awareness and connection.
Molly made a big difference to Federation’s arts community through her creativity and leadership. She brought people together as Greenroom Club President and worked hard to make campus welcoming and inclusive.
The Physiotherapy Student Society brought students together and supported wellbeing through events like trivia nights, the Physio Ball, and Big Freeze. These activities helped create a friendly, fun, and connected student community at Federation.
Nhi improved the Federation experience for fellow international students as a Peer Learning Mentor, RISE Crew volunteer, and Content Creator. She helped students feel connected, confident, and included in the Federation community.
Cooper, an Elite Athlete and Exercise Science student, represented Australia at the World Athletics Relays where he won a silver medal! He has inspired his peers through hard work, leadership, and excellence in sport and study.
