What does STEM support cover?
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and maths. If you're studying anything STEM-related – like nursing, engineering, maths, science or health – we can help you:
- understand your coursework
- go over basic concepts
- figure out advanced problems
- apply formulas and methods to assessment questions
- understand chemistry and biology concepts and tasks
- work out nursing dosages.
Meet Sofia
Sofia is our STEM learning skills advisor. She has a background in teaching maths and science, and is passionate about helping students feel more confident – especially if maths makes you anxious.
Sofia can help you break down tricky concepts in a clear, visual way and support you with practical strategies for problem-solving and critical thinking.

Are you a Higher Degree by Research student?
HDR students can access one-to-one specialist support for statistics, quantitative analysis and approaches relevant to research projects (but not data analysis or software training). To make an appointment, email HDRstatistics.Support@federation.edu.au.
