Find your timetable on mySchedule

Learn when and how to add and change your timetable preferences on mySchedule

You'll use mySchedule, our timetabling system, to choose your classes after you enrol. Want Monday mornings off? Keen to finish early on Fridays? Your dream timetable might be possible. Make a note of the key dates, including when you can add your timetable preferences and make adjustments, so you don't miss out.

How to use mySchedule

Before the semester starts, you'll get to select your classes in order of preference. The allocations aren't based on who submits first, so you can take your time.

What to do

  1. Log into mySchedule and check your enrolled subjects under the ‘Enrolment’ menu. If a course has a red icon, it means we’re still waiting for your preferences.
  2. Select a unit, enter your preferences, then save. After you've done this, the unit will change to orange in the 'Enrolment' menu.
  3. Repeat the process for all of your units.

You can make changes until the preference period closes (see key dates below).

If there's a blue information icon next to a unit, you don’t need to submit preferences. This might be because it’s a non-timetabled class, your enrolment is outside of the semester, or you’re part of a specific program. You'll get more info before classes start.

Need help? Download 'Timetable class preferencing' (PDF 205 KB) or watch the instructional video.

What happens next

After preference mode closes, mySchedule will create the most clash-free timetables for all students. There’s no guarantee you’ll get your first preferences.

This is your chance to review your class allocations and make changes if possible. You can also join the waitlist for full classes that you'd like to get into. The sooner you submit your changes, the more likely you'll get the timetable you want.

If you didn't select classes during preference mode, or preference mode wasn't available for your units, or you’re enrolled in units for non-standard terms (e.g. Winter or Summer), you'll need to complete the allocation process during adjustment mode.

What to do

  1. Log into mySchedule and view your units under the ‘Enrolment’ menu.
  2. If a unit with a green icon also reads ADJUST, you can choose a different class time with the 'Select' button. Or, if the class you want to swap to is full, select the heart icon to join the waitlist.

If any of your units have 'non-timetabled class' listed against them, it means there are no timetabled classes, so you don’t need to make any changes. You'll get more info before classes start.

You can make changes until the adjustment period closes (see key dates below).

Need help? Download 'Timetable class allocations' (PDF 59 KB) or watch the instructional video.

If a unit is labelled 'Read only', you'll be able to view the allocation but you won't be able to make any changes. This may be because:

  • allocations for this unit have been managed centrally, so timetable adjustments require academic approval and administrative assistance
  • timetables are closed for further adjustment (which usually occurs two weeks after classes commence).

If a unit is labelled 'Off', you won't be able to select preferences, adjust allocations or view the timetable. This may be because:

  • mySchedule isn't open yet
  • mySchedule isn't available while the preferences are being sorted
  • allocations for this unit are being managed centrally
  • the unit is not running this semester.
