Ararat Jobs and Technology Precinct
The Ararat Jobs and Technology Precinct is where researchers and industry experts come together to tackle regional challenges and support local economic growth.
Our mission
About the Precinct
The Ararat Jobs and Technology Precinct brings together Federation University, Ararat Rural City, local industry and the community to support economic growth and job creation in the region. This collaborative way of working aims to address regional challenges and opportunities, with an emphasis on agribusiness.
Key research areas include climate resilience, regenerative agriculture, smart technologies and biomass energy. Projects are designed to have real‑world impact. For example, the GrainSupp tool – developed in partnership with local farmers, industry groups and international stakeholders – uses AI and blockchain technology to improve grain traceability.
