Churchill speech pathology clinic
Offering speech pathology appointments for children and adolescents in Churchill. Our clinic is student‑delivered and supervised by qualified speech pathologists.
Opening hours
The Churchill speech pathology clinic provides low‑cost speech pathology services for children and adolescents between three to 16-years-old. We offer support for communication, language, speech, literacy and swallowing, as well as paediatric screenings.
Our services are student‑delivered by speech pathology students in their final years of training, closely supervised by certified speech pathologists. You’ll receive quality care while helping train the next generation of health professionals for regional Victoria.
About the clinic
We offer assessment and treatment in blocks of therapy of eight weeks duration. If further blocks are required, we will manage this as per our waiting list procedure.
Paediatric screenings (pre‑schools and primary schools)
Paediatric screenings can help identify early signs of:
- difficulty with pronunciation (articulation or phonology)
- literacy skills (phonological awareness)
- language skills and social communication (understanding and expressing spoken language).
Speech pathology services (three to 16-years-old)
Assessment and treatment for children and young people who may need support with speech, language, communication, literacy or swallowing.
Our services are delivered by Federation University students completing training in a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) or Master of Speech Pathology. All sessions are closely supervised by qualified speech pathologists.
Assessment and intervention services
Initial consultations are $60 per hour, or $50 with a concession card. If the assessment takes longer than an hour, extra time is charged in half‑hour increments.
After that, standard consultations are $45 for a 45‑minute appointment, or $40 with a concession card.
Cancellations
We'll send you an email reminder before each session. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at 100% of the session fee, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Consistent cancellations within a therapy block may result in your sessions being discontinued. If you can’t attend onsite, you may request a telehealth appointment instead. Non‑face‑to‑face services – such as teleconferences, letters, reports or home program activities – can be arranged and are charged at $30 per half hour.
Please make your payment online within 24 hours of your appointment. Ongoing appointments can’t continue until previous fees are paid. Churchill speech pathology clinic is not an NDIS provider, and services are not rebatable through Medicare or private health insurance.
