SMB Children's Centre
Childcare for children aged six weeks to five years and state‑funded kindergarten, welcoming families from Federation and the wider Ballarat community.
Opening hours
Monday to Friday, 8 am–6 pm.
Find us on the Federation University SMB Campus. Our purpose‑built centre supports up to 80 children across five rooms, including kindergarten and teaching spaces for Early Childhood Education students. Shared indoor and outdoor play areas give children space to explore and connect with other children, siblings and educators.

Enrol your child at SMB Children’s Centre. We offer ongoing childcare, with occasional extra care depending on availability.
Apply for our Victorian Government funded 3‑ or 4-year‑old kindergarten program.
Kindergarten applications are managed through City of Ballarat.
