Mt Helen Children's Centre
Childcare for children aged six weeks to five years and state‑funded kindergarten, welcoming families from Federation and the wider Ballarat community.
Opening hours
Monday to Friday, 8 am–6 pm.
Find us on the Federation University Mt Helen Campus. Our purpose‑built centre supports up to 80 children across five rooms, including kindergarten, with children grouped by age and stage of development. Large outdoor areas and the bushland surroundings give children space to explore and connect with other children, siblings and educators. Indoors, our spaces are designed for meaningful play.

Apply for our Victorian Government funded 3‑ or 4-year‑old kindergarten program.
Kindergarten applications are managed through City of Ballarat.
