SOSCI3001 Social Media for Activism

This course engages students in developing an understanding of the ways in which digital and social media are being used increasingly within the context of social and community activism. The course will utilise case studies of significant activist uses of digital and social media and ask students to reflect on their own use of social media and whether it has any activist intent.

Commonwealth supported place (CSP)

A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Domestic full fee–paying places

A domestic full fee–paying place is one that isn’t subsidised by the Australian Government. These places are offered to postgraduate students or those who are ineligible for a CSP.
