SOCIO3737 Social Justice
This course builds on students¿ sociological understanding of social justice related issues including gender equity, minority rights, democratic government, economic opportunity, environmental protection and human rights. It provides students a comparative view of social justice over a number of political and legal states and chronological periods. A variety of legal issues including those of constitutionalism, social control, and equity are examined to illustrate the disparate definitions of social justice.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
