SCOHS5513 Mitigation of Occupational Health and Safety Hazards
This course provides a fundamental and comprehensive approach to professional mitigation of OHS hazards; it constitutes the basis for the VIOSH Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma of Occupational Hazard Management. With strict adherence to `hierarchy of control¿ methodology, the course focuses on elimination of hazards in the first instance. Where a hazard cannot be eliminated, alternatives for mitigation are considered such as the use of peer-reviewed evidence and occupational hygiene to inform hazard isolation and minimisation strategies.
