Aboriginal Education Centre schools engagement

We support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander high school students through programs that build confidence, open pathways to higher education, and welcome them to Federation.

Immersive on-campus experiences

Koori STEM labs
Year 6–7 students

The Koori STEM labs are two-day events designed to build peer networks, reduce early school disengagement and spark STEM aspirations through culturally informed, hands-on learning.
Deadly As Day
Year 7–12 students

Deadly As Day is a regional showcase for students to celebrate culture and achievement while exploring future study and career pathways.
University camp
Year 9–11 students

Junior university camp is a fully funded, week-long immersion in university and TAFE for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. It includes a residential experience, hands-on sessions and cultural activities.

Aboriginal Education Centre

The AEC provides culturally safe pathways to university, supports student wellbeing and promotes First Peoples events.
