Partnerships

Find out how we partner with local and global organisations to improve the student experience and enhance our community connection.

How do we connect learning with the real world? Through partnerships. We work closely with industry, government, community and organisations in Australia and globally to share knowledge, expertise and facilities – and to create meaningful opportunities for our students.

Partnerships are an integral part of our co‑op education model, which is all about sending students out into the workplace through placements, cadetships and applied research projects. We also partner with various welfare groups to help students who might be struggling with the cost of living.

Education partnerships

TAFE Gippsland
We're working with TAFE Gippsland to ensure local students can access flexible tertiary education more easily. Part of this includes jointly funding an annual scholarship program.
Corrections Victoria
We're contracted to deliver VET programs in correctional facilities across the state. Education strengthens inmates' employment prospects and reduces the risk of reoffending.
Global partners
We currently offer courses at several Chinese universities and one college in Sri Lanka. Study areas include science, engineering, business and information technology.

Sporting partnerships

WestVic Academy of Sport
The WestVic Academy of Sport and Federation University have joined forces to give talented young athletes the support they need to grow, compete and thrive.
Melbourne City Football Club
We've teamed up with Melbourne City Football Club to launch the new Diploma of Business and Sports Management, which includes 100 hours of work placement.

Research partnerships

Asia Pacific Renewable Energy Training Centre (APRETC)
APRETC is a hub for renewable energy training, education and research based in regional Victoria, with reach across Australia and the Asia Pacific.
Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute (FECRI)
Our partnership means students get the chance to do their placements with FECRI and we have researchers dedicated to looking at aggresive forms of cancer.

Health and social assistance partnerships

Foodbank Victoria
Foodback Victoria supplies grocery staples (like canned food and personal hygiene products) for the Nourishment Nook, our free food pantry initiative.
BGT Jobs & Training Ballarat
We’ve partnered with BGT Jobs & Training Ballarat to set up Styled for Success – a free corporate clothing program for students.
