Leave a lasting legacy

A gift in your Will is a powerful way to support future generations of Federation students and strengthen education across our regions. It’s a personal decision, often made over time -and one that can reflect your values long into the future.

Leaving a gift in your Will to Federation University is a great way to make a lasting difference. Your support can help provide scholarships and extra assistance for students who need it most. It can also boost First Nations education and participation, helping create more opportunities and a stronger sense of community.

Your gift can contribute to teaching and research that supports regional Australia, making a real impact where it matters. And because needs change over time, it can also go toward the areas that need it most in the future, helping the University respond and adapt as priorities evolve.

Arranging a bequest means leaving a gift to Federation in your will. There are different ways to do this:

Pecuniary bequest

A fixed amount of money.

Gift in kind

A non-monetary donation, such as artworks, books or property.

Residual bequest

The remainder (or residue) of your estate after all debts, charges and gifts have been deducted.

Percentage of residual bequest

A percentage of the remainder of your estate after all debts, charges and gifts have been deducted.

Percentage bequest

A predetermined percentage of your total estate.

If you leave money to Federation, you can tell us how you’d like it to be spent. It could go towards a scholarship, specific discipline area or research project, or to fund a new building or facility on one of our campuses.

All bequest information is kept confidential and is not legally binding.
