Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training Course (BSTC)

The GWO BST 4 day course is an industry minimum requirement before you set-foot inside a Wind turbine tower. Training will enable participants to support and care for themselves and others working in the industry by possessing the knowledge and skills of first aid, working at heights, manual handling, fire awareness and in case of an emergency, to be able to evacuate, rescue and provide appropriate first aid to casualties. Course overview

If you're looking to work on a wind farm, either in its construction or as a part of the long term maintenance of a turbine, this working safely at heights training delivered as a part of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training will be essential for you. The training will provide you with the basic safety awareness in the fields of first aid, manual handling, working at heights, fire awareness required to work with wind turbines and wind power generation. Completing this course will support you in your journey to gain employment in the renewable energy sector (Wind Generation). In addition to the Globally Recognised GWO modules, you will also achieve training and assessment in National Units of Competency to achieve First Aid and CPR/Live Panel Rescue, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Heights Training and Heights rescue Training.
