Your domestic offer

Ready to take the next step with your domestic offer at Federation University? Accept, defer, or decline your place now.

So, you've been offered a place a Federation University. Fantastic news. Very exciting. The first thing you need to do is action that offer.

You have three choices: accept, defer or decline.

This process is just for higher education applicants. If you’re a TAFE applicant, you’ll receive an email about your place and what you need to do next.

Accept your offer

Defer your offer

If you’re not quite ready to start uni (but you’d like us to save your spot), you can postpone your decision for 12 months (or 6 months in some cases).

We’ll contact you a few months before you’re meant to start to see if you want to accept or decline (or defer again under special circumstances).

However, deferment is NOT available for:

  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Graduate Certificate in Paramedicine
  • Graduate Diploma of Paramedicine
  • Bachelor of Performing Arts
  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology
  • Master of Speech Pathology
  • Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours)
  • Master of Psychology (Clinical)
  • Master of Professional Psychology
  • Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery
  • Graduate Diploma of Midwifery.

Decline your offer

Decline isn’t our favourite option. But this isn’t about us. You should do whatever you feel is best. If you’re absolutely completely sure that you don’t want to accept your offer, that’s okay. We understand. We’ll be fine. Eventually.

Conditional offers

If you need to meet one or more conditions before you get a full offer (like sending us your exam results or achieving a particular English proficiency test score), you can’t accept (or defer) yet. Come back to this page when you’ve got that official offer.
