Prospective students, their families and the community will be welcomed to campus with live music, food stalls and expert course advice when Federation University Australia throws open its doors for Open Day 2026.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet academics, students and the University’s industry partners while soaking up the Gippsland Campus atmosphere with live entertainment and complimentary food.

Information sessions will provide expert advice on courses including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Exercise and Sport Science, Education, Nursing, Midwifery, Psychology, Science, Arts, Social Work, Criminology and more.

Campus tours will showcase Federation’s innovative learning spaces, including the state-of-the-art Allied Health Centre, while information sessions will provide a guide to starting uni.

“Choosing where to study is one of life’s biggest decisions, and Open Day is a chance for people to explore course options, speak with current staff and students and discover a pathway that’s right for them,” Federation University Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Duncan Bentley said.

Open Day is also an opportunity to connect with a range of student clubs and support teams to see firsthand the sense of belonging that students experience at Federation.

“Visitors can tour our Gippsland campus, meet the people who make our university community so welcoming, and discover how our leading Co-operative Education Model gives students the chance to gain real-world industry experience, build professional networks and graduate ready to make a meaningful impact in their communities,” Professor Bentley said.

Recent student survey results demonstrate the Co-op approach is delivering real outcomes for students, with Federation ranked the number one university in Victoria for undergraduate median salary, overall undergraduate employment rates and postgraduate full-time employment rates as part of the Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) 2025 Graduate Outcomes Survey.

Federation University Open Day will be held on Sunday, 9 August from 9.30am - 2pm at the Gippsland Campus, Northways Road, Churchill.
