Camp St is basically a creative student’s dream. Visual art studios – tick, a professional gallery – tick, multiple performance spaces – tick (hello 150-seat theatre). It might be a small campus, but there are so many beautiful buildings to explore and enjoy. The diverse student cohort is big on extracurricular activities, too – there's never a dull moment.
Of course, the location makes uni life easy – Camp St is right in the centre of Ballarat, which means easy access to cafes, galleries, parks and shops. And the station is literally across the road – so you’ll never miss your train. If you're coming from Melbourne, the V/Line trip will take about one hour 20 minutes (driving can take longer, depending on the traffic).
The traditional custodians for this area are the Wadawurrung peoples.

Living on res is so convenient. You don’t have to buy furniture or white goods. Your utilities and internet bills are included. And your commute to class is negligible – so you get to sleep in every day.
Another bonus – Ballarat res students get a free Health, Sports and Aquatic Centre membership, which means access to the fully equipped gym and heated indoor pool at Mt Helen Campus.
