VASAP3016 Visual Art: Studio Arts Practice 6
This unit builds upon the skills and knowledge attained over the previous five semesters. The unit continues to develop aspects of visual art practice and theory with specific, but not exclusive regard, to contemporary artistic practice. The unit provides an opportunity for students to consolidate their independent creative, thinking, and research skills through a deepening awareness of both traditional and experimental modes of practice, philosophical and critical thinking and evaluation. The role of practice-led research in the work of a professional artist is an area of focus. Students will continue to work supervised and in consultation with teaching staff in pursuing their own unique and individual mode of artistic expression.
