VASAP3015 Visual Art: Studio Arts Practice 5
Studio Arts Practice 5 is a unit that enables students to undertake independent research and further develop conceptual, technical and aesthetic skills and knowledge. The unit encourages students¿ practical artistic professional practice through supervision by, and dialogue with, teaching staff providing students with models and opportunities to strengthen their own professional expertise. Linking theory and practice, students will devise a program of study tailored to their own personal artistic vision in order to produce a discernibly individual body of artworks within their chosen field. This unit provides advanced practical and theoretical studies and supports students in conceiving, planning, and executing a major program of works. The research element and learning will be supported by visits to art galleries, artists¿ studios and talks, and exhibition spaces.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
