RESPJ4001 Research Project
This unit forms the core research project component of the Graduate Certificate in Research and has a focus on carrying out a program of research and submitting a significant piece of work for assessment. The unit involves composing a thesis in the discipline area of the student, and depending on the discipline, the thesis may involve constructing an argument, gathering and analysing data, associated field, laboratory, clinical or computer based work. For students working in creative art disciplines, work may involve producing creative writing with an accompanying exegesis, or exegesis plus development and production of a body of creative practical works of art, design or performance.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Grandfathered contribution amount - if you are a continuing student, who commenced your course before 1 January 2021, you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented, for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
