PSYCP7002 Psychological Assessment

This course focuses on developing the skills and knowledge needed to conduct a psychological assessment, including the ability to score, interpret findings, and communicate results. Students will be introduced to application and limitations of psychological tests, the utility of results in understanding the broader assessment process, including client formulation, and communicating these findings to clients and other professionals.

Commonwealth supported place (CSP)

A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Clinical Psychology & Professional Pathways CSP unit fees

For Clinical Psychology bands, the student contribution amount is based on the Field of Education code and your enrolled course. Only approved courses qualify for Clinical Psychology fee bands.

2025 clinical psychology: $578
2025 grandfathered clinical psychology: $578

This fee band is for psychology units (Field of Education code 90701) in the Master of Psychology (Clinical).

2025 professional pathways: $1,164 
2025 grandfathered professional pathways: $997

This fee band is for:

  • human welfare studies and services units (Field of Education code starting with 0905) in the Bachelor of Community and Human Services, Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Social Work (Qualifying), Master of Social Work (Qualifying) (Children and Families).
  • behavioural science units (Field of Education code starting with 0907) in the Bachelor of Psychological Science or Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours).

Students enrolled in courses not approved for these fees will pay the standard student contribution above. Check our CSP page for more details.

Domestic full fee–paying places

A domestic full fee–paying place is one that isn’t subsidised by the Australian Government. These places are offered to postgraduate students or those who are ineligible for a CSP.
