OEEDU3200 Extended Journeys in Outdoor and Environmental Education
This course prepares students as participants and leaders of an extended journey in a remote area. Students are exposed to the variety of equipment, techniques and the necessary risk management and emergency response procedures required for safe travel in remote areas. Students explore the relevant theoretical foundations underpinning extended journey based outdoor education. During the journey students will critically reflect on leadership, self-development, community development and relationships with natural places.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
