NURBN1101 Introduction to the Nursing Profession
This unit introduces students to the foundational frameworks that guide nursing and midwifery practice in Australia, including professional standards, ethical and legal responsibilities, consumer rights and the strength-based nursing framework. It explores the role of the nurse and midwife within the interprofessional healthcare setting and focuses on the development of therapeutic and professional communication as fundamental skills in delivering safe, person-centred care.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
