NHPOT4123 Occupational Therapy Honours Research Part 2 of 3
This is the second course in a three-part Honours Research course chain. Within this course chain a student will work independently (with supervision) to complete a research project relevant to a contemporary occupational therapy theory or practice issues. In enacting their research plan, students will be required to demonstrate a solid understanding of their research methodology as well as strong organisational and planning skills. Students will collect, collate and analyse research data in order to derive robust research findings. Students will then critically examine their research findings in relation to existing knowledge on their research topic and analyse the relevance of these findings to occupational therapy theory and practice. Students will begin the process of preparing a research paper on their project suitable for publication in an appropriate academic journal. Students will also deliver an oral presentation summarising their research and be required to respond to peer questions regarding project design, findings and implications.
Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) unit fee
A Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) is one that is subsidised by the Australian Government, which means students only pay the student contribution amount of the tuition fee. CSPs are only available to eligible domestic students.
The student contribution amount depends on the unit and how much funding the Government provides. Each unit is classified into a band based on its discipline (which may be different to your overall course discipline).
2025 student contribution amount: $1,164
2025 grandfathered student contribution amount (for students who commenced before 1 Jan 2021*): $1,164
* If you are a continuing student (who commenced your course before 1 January 2021) you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
