MVAGC4021 Philosophies of the Studio A
This course is intended to position the student's practice with respect to past and current practices and to encourage a philosophical expression of his or her work. Through a process of challenge and debate, the course leads the candidate to clarify his or her proposal for the visual work of the Studio Discipline course and to develop it alongside the studio practice as a reflection of their visual work. It is also designed to integrate the theoretical and the practical as candidates express their ambitions in a critical context through discursive challenges and studio practices.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
