MSWPG7218 Social Work Placement 2
Students will be appropriately prepared for placement through the completion of required prerequisite units and preparatory activities prior to undertaking this unit. Students will complete a minimum of 500 hours of supervised placement in an approved practice setting. Placement provides a structured opportunity for students to engage in social work practice in real-world contexts.Placement learning is supported through regular supervision, feedback, and participation in practice tasks that are tailored to students¿ learning goals, enabling them to learn from experience while consolidating their professional identity. Building on learning experiences from placement 1, students will demonstrate the knowledge and skills required for entry level professional social work practice.Placement is undertaken concurrently with an integrative learning unit. This unit is designed to support the synthesis of theory and practice through structured opportunities for critical thinking and reflection, shared learning, and peer support throughout the placement experience.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
