LITCR2102 Creative Writing: Digital Poetry
This is an advanced writing course conducted in weekly seminars for students who intend to develop their writing practice in digital or new media poetry. We will explore the theory and practice of digital or new media poetry and undertake critical review of digital poetry created by students. In the context of their own writing interests and evolving writing practice students will examine examples of digital poetry in a variety of forms including soundscapes, animation, hypertext poetry, code poems, location-based poems using handheld devices, digital video and interactive games. Students will utilise these examples to stimulate their own creative writing projects.
