LITCI2112 FANTASY AND SPECULATIVE FICTION
This course studies a range of fantasy and speculative fiction texts (eg comic, film, cyberpunk, picture story book sword and sorcery, fairy tale) using 20th century critical theories of fantasy, speculative fiction and the imagination (eg Freud, Kristeva, Bettelheim) and creatively innovative teaching methods. Consideration is given to texts for child and adult readers.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
