LITCI1111 THE VICTORIAN AGE IN LITERATURE
This course focuses on major developments and issues in 19th century English literature, in the context of social, political and intellectual developments such as industrialisation, agitation for reform, evolution. Gender and genre are key issues that run through both poetry and fiction, with texts by Tennyson, Dickens, Browning, Barrett Browning, Emily Bronte, Christina Rossetti, George Eliot, Hardy and Oscar Wilde.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
