ITECH1102 Networking and Security
This unit will introduce fundamental of OSI network model and role of Cyber security in securing the information system. Students will learn role and operation each network layer and how these layers work in providing end to end connectivity for the computer systems. This unit will highlight security services, role of personnel and encryption to secure communication over the internet.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
