ISEAP2102 Intermediate Understanding of Western Academic Culture
This course further develops students¿ intermediate academic English language skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking as they apply to non-English speaking background international students who intend to undertake tertiary study in Australia. Students will participate in a variety of language activities, focusing on the comprehension, production and communication skills required to engage in their intended academic discipline. Students will also focus on developing independent study and research skills, producing straightforward spoken and written academic texts.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Grandfathered contribution amount - if you are a continuing student, who commenced your course before 1 January 2021, you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented, for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
