INDSL2106 Indigenous Health
This course aims to provide students with an understanding of Indigenous health issues. The course provides an overview of Indigenous identity and health outcomes, investigates historical, cultural and social factors impacting on health of Indigenous people. Additionally it analyses the development of Indigenous health policies and the role of various stakeholders. Students analyse effective strategies, programs and practices (including health care delivery and health promotion programs) designed to improve Indigenous health outcomes.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
