HEAPH7002 Public Health Informatics
This unit will provide the basic concepts on how information and communication technologies are contributing and transforming public health globally. Students will be able to analyse data and utilize technologies for public health research and practice, they will be able to use informatics for disease surveillance, outbreak investigations and suggest preventive measures. The unit will show how data are generated and managed, so that it can inform public health policy. Students will be able to interpret relevant public health policies, identify gaps and recommend changes.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
