GEEAP2002 General English 2B
General English 2B is the second five-week course of General English Level 2. Students who successfully complete the course will be able to articulate to the EAP program, and, eventually, tertiary study at Federation University. Students receive a progress report upon completion of each five-week course. In this course students will have opportunities to reinforce learning from General English 2A. Students will be given opportunities to consolidate skills to assist their understanding of English sentence structures, frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment), and the communication via English required within simple and routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. They will further practice using English to describe in simple terms matters of importance to them, related to their background, and immediate environment.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
