EDCEL3722 Professional experience 3: Diverse

This unit supports a 15 day professional experience in a diverse educational setting. It encourages and challenges Pre-Service Teachers (PSTs) to explore alternative learning environments where effective educational practices are implemented. The placement aims to broaden the PSTs. understanding of teaching and learning, extending their perspectives beyond traditional educational settings. Students are required to complete the activities associated with the placement in collaboration with their Mentor Teacher. This unit is part of the Bachelor of Education (Primary) course. Throughout the placement, PSTs are required to complete designated professional learning activities in collaboration with their assigned mentors.

Commonwealth supported place (CSP)

A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

^ If you are a continuing student who commenced your course before 1 January 2021, you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented, for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.

Domestic full fee–paying places
