EAAPP6002 English for Academic Purposes (Advanced) 6B

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP6 B) program is tailored for the needs of international students wishing to succeed in academic study in Australia. EAP6B is the second five-weeks of a ten-week course of study of the advanced level of the English for Academic Purposes Level 6 course. Students who successfully complete the course will be able to move to HDR programs for Science & Engineering, English for Nursing, English for Teaching at Federation University. Students receive a progress report upon completion of each five-week course. This course aims to develop the advanced reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, computer and study skills required for further study at Federation University, for diplomas, undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It focuses on building students' confidence in the fundamental language skills in an academic context with an emphasis on developing critical thinking and academic literacy skills.

Commonwealth supported place (CSP)

A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Domestic full fee–paying places

A domestic full fee–paying place is one that isn’t subsidised by the Australian Government. These places are offered to postgraduate students or those who are ineligible for a CSP.
