COMMD3006 Studio Practice 6

"This course encourages independent research into conceptual, technical, and aesthetic solutions to visual communications issues using the principles and practices of communication design. This semester focuses on refining and enhancing the advanced level of skills and knowledge gained in previous semester. It will focus on the development of a mature, investigative body of design work appropriate to a graduate folio.There will be an emphasis on preparation for employment with topics such as presentation skills, using appropriate language both written and verbal in relation to job applications. Students will be made aware of interview situations and preparation. In addition developing knowledge about how a studio functions and how to participate effectively in this environment. More specific skills in time based media and print production are continued. These studies are conducted in a studio environment consisting of lectures, projects, individual experience, peer interaction and increased client contact. "

Commonwealth supported place (CSP)

A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Grandfathered contribution amount - if you are a continuing student, who commenced your course before 1 January 2021, you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented, for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
