BUMGT9123 Sustainability, Governance & Ethics
This course provides advance level understanding and skills in the management of ethical issues, social responsibility and corporate governance to realise long term viability of the business and its process. The course focuses broadly on five questions: why is the business increasingly expected to be accountable to stakeholders in a transparent and ethical manner; why should enterprises act as socially responsible citizens rather than simply concentrating on their bottom line; how should an enterprise be organised to enable it to be socially responsible towards ts internal and external stakeholders; what constitutes good corporate governance; and how does this influence the nature and direction of corporate activities to enable them to contribute to sustainable development.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Grandfathered contribution amount - if you are a continuing student, who commenced your course before 1 January 2021, you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented, for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
