BUMGT6970 MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY

This course provides a basic grounding in consulting and intervention skills: looking at the development of both internal and external client relationships, proposal and contract preparation, the fundamentals involved in project delivery and implementation and evaluation of projects. The course addresses four fundamental dimensions of practice: understanding client context [politics / organisation], the task environment [problem solving or opportunity realisation], project management and core consulting skills. A critical element of the course is that *consulting* is presented as an appropriate client-centred, incisive and project-based management style and intervention rather than something of interest merely to internal or external consultants. The course is a prerequisite for BIMGT6971. The course is supported by online materials and facilities.
