BUMGT6935 Operations Management
This course provides students with the concepts, techniques and tools to design, analyse and improve the operational capabilities of an organisation. This requires an understanding of both the activities involved in the operations function and the decision making techniques needed to control it. Emphasis will be placed on the application of concepts to actual business situations. The course provides relevant knowledge and skills for a wide variety of career paths, including consulting, corporate management, manufacturing or supply chain management, in a range of business areas, such as NGOs, financial services, private equity, and healthcare.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
