BUMGT2615 Designing Effective Organisations
"Designing Effective Organisations is an organisation theory course. Organisation theory focuses on the structure and design of organisations and is underpinned by the discipline of sociology, which studies the functioning of social systems and structures. The course is different from organisational behaviour, which focusses on the actions of people in a work context and is underpinned by psychology, and strategic management which analyses plans to achieve competitive advantage and is underpinned by economics. The course is designed to help students understand how organisations are structured and function in practice, and how organisation design can be improved."
