BUMGT2614 Project Management
This course provides students with the opportunity to discover how Project Management knowledge and skills can impact on organisational issues. Students engage in learning the theoretical basis of project management and engage in the project planning process. The course is aimed at students from a wide range of disciplines and is an introduction to the processes of managing projects. It is not the intent of this course to create project managers but rather foster an understanding of the framework and procedures and processes housed within it. The course is based on the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Guide to the project management body of knowledge (PMBOK guide). PMBOK is the sum of knowledge within the vocation of project management. PMBOK includes proven traditional practices that are widely utilised, as well as contemporary practices that are emerging in the profession. PMBOK stands as a guide for good practice in the project management industry.
Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) unit fee
A Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) is one that is subsidised by the Australian Government, which means students only pay the student contribution amount of the tuition fee. CSPs are only available to eligible domestic students.
The student contribution amount depends on the unit and how much funding the Government provides. Each unit is classified into a band based on its discipline (which may be different to your overall course discipline).
2025 student contribution amount: $2,124
2025 grandfathered student contribution amount (for students who commenced before 1 Jan 2021*): $1,663
* If you are a continuing student (who commenced your course before 1 January 2021) you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
