BULAW6925 Issues in Corporate Governance
Although the number of corporations is not that large compared to other types of businesses such as partnerships and sole traders, their economic impact is enormous, both in Australia and world-wide. The rules they must observe are broad and comprehensive, and are constantly under review in response to changing expectations as a consequence of events and a volatile environment. Effective governance is therefore of utmost importance. Drawing on relevant theory, this course explores issues around corporations and the impact these have for governance objectives, structures and processes.
