BULAW5975 OHS Law
This course introduces students to the regulatory environment of occupational health and safety. It explores the role of law and regulators in motivating organisations to improve health and safety; the interaction of the various civil and criminal laws and the relationship between legal compliance and occupational health and safety systems and risk management. Topics covered may include introduction to the role of law; different regulatory theories and techniques; compliance versus corporate social responsibility; sources and development of law; finding and interpreting law; criminal laws and civil laws.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Grandfathered contribution amount - if you are a continuing student, who commenced your course before 1 January 2021, you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented, for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
