Students are introduced firstly to types of literature reviews consistent with research orientation. Literature review types include systematic, narrative and phenomenological. Practical processes are then considered including topic scope and research question determination, followed by locating and correctly recording literature sources. Processes for evaluating literature sources, including research papers, are then considered. The unit concludes with a review of effective structures, stylistic options, argument development, literature synthesis and use of voice
