BUACC2005 Corporations law
The unit introduces students to companies and focuses on their regulation. An understanding of the content of this unit is important for those who will be involved with companies. Students gain essential knowledge about the regulatory framework of corporations and corporate governance issues. The unit considers the law regulating the incorporation of companies, how companies relate to outsiders (contract, tort, crime), the management of companies (including director's duties), financial reporting and audit requirements, shareholder rights and remedies, the raising of finance, and insolvency.
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).

Grandfathered contribution amount - if you are a continuing student, who commenced your course before 1 January 2021, you will continue paying the same amount as you would have, had legislative reforms not been implemented, for any units that would otherwise have an increased student contribution amount.
