"With the recent developments in financial markets and financial instruments, the theories and practices of financial management and corporate finance have become increasingly important and a dynamic and challenging area of study. The overall objective of this unit is to further develop students' insight into key topics in financial management and corporate finance. This includes the development of skills in criticising theory and in applying theoretical concepts to practical issues. Specific topics include asset pricing, risk management, debt and equity management, options, corporate restructuring, corporate hedging and dividend policy. Case studies will be used to enhance students' understanding of how financial theories can be applied in solving real-world problems. "
Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
