Implementing evidence to practice at St John of God Hospital, Berwick

Stipend: $40,000 tax free per annum for three years (paid fortnightly)
Project support: $2,000 per annum available from the RTP Project Allowance
RTP Fee-offset Scholarship: $29,500 per annum in tuition fees covered
Funding length: 3 years (with the possibility of a 6 month extension upon application) 
Location: Berwick, Gippsland (to be confirmed)

Scholarship applicants must be eligible to undertake a PhD. Verify you can meet eligibility requirements outlined on the Graduate Research School website. If you are applying for ‘Honours equivalence,’ please ensure that you provide detailed information to support your case. 

• Candidates must be health professionals registered in Australia, from fields such as  Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology

This is a joint PhD scholarship between St John of God, Berwick and Federation University. Applications are invited from allied health professionals to conduct research in a broad range of areas that advance the quality and effectiveness of healthcare delivery in alignment with St. John of God’s vision, mission, and values. 

Topics could include (but are not limited to) improved patient flow, functional outcomes, long-term recovery, use of patient-centred models of care, safer transitions from hospital to home or community care, and strategies to implement or translate evidence into practice.
